MOZA Racing × PlayStation 5

MOZA Racing Is Coming to PlayStation

The first officially licensed MOZA PS5 racing hardware is set to be unveiled at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Here is what we know—and the Fanatec PlayStation options available now.

Official PS5 products in development Tokyo Game Show 2026 Gran Turismo World Series partner

MOZA Racing is preparing to reveal its first officially licensed PlayStation racing hardware, marking a major expansion of the company’s growing sim racing ecosystem.

The new MOZA Racing PS5 wheel set is expected to be unveiled at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which takes place from 17th to 21st September at Makuhari Messe in Japan.

Complete specifications, UK pricing and a release date have not yet been announced. However, MOZA has now teased a new wheel base carrying official PlayStation branding. For Gran Turismo 7 players and other PlayStation sim racers, this could introduce another serious direct-drive alternative to the established Fanatec PlayStation range.

MOZA’s First Officially Licensed PlayStation Products

MOZA confirmed in July 2026 that it was developing its first officially licensed PlayStation racing products after becoming an official partner of the Gran Turismo World Series.

The partnership places MOZA alongside one of the most recognisable racing game franchises in the world. More importantly, it confirms that MOZA is working through Sony Interactive Entertainment’s official licensing programme rather than relying on an unofficial adapter or compatibility workaround.

According to MOZA Racing’s official announcement, its upcoming products are being developed for PlayStation 5, subject to Sony Interactive Entertainment’s final product approval.

MOZA’s existing wheel bases are primarily designed for PC, while selected bundles support Xbox. Existing MOZA hardware should not currently be assumed to work with PS5, and MOZA has not yet confirmed whether older steering wheels, pedals and accessories will be compatible with the forthcoming PlayStation wheel base.

What Does the MOZA PS5 Teaser Show?

The first teaser provides a shadowed view of what appears to be a new direct-drive wheel base. The official PlayStation logo is visible on the front, alongside illuminated strips that share some visual similarities with the MOZA R16 Ultra.

That does not mean it is a PlayStation version of the R16 Ultra. MOZA has not confirmed the motor technology, torque output or whether the product will be sold as a standalone wheel base, a complete wheel-and-pedal bundle, or both.

Will the New MOZA Wheel Work With Gran Turismo 7?

The partnership between MOZA Racing and the Gran Turismo World Series makes Gran Turismo 7 support highly likely. MOZA has also referred to developing new experiences for Gran Turismo players.

However, the exact level of integration has not yet been detailed. We do not currently know whether the package will feature a dedicated Gran Turismo steering wheel, special in-game controls or game-specific force-feedback technology.

The final hardware remains subject to Sony approval, and compatibility with other PlayStation racing games will depend on support from MOZA and each game developer.

Why a MOZA PlayStation Wheel Is Significant

MOZA has rapidly expanded from a predominantly PC-focused manufacturer into one of the largest hardware ecosystems in sim racing. Its current range includes direct-drive wheel bases, load-cell and active pedals, steering wheels, shifters, handbrakes, dashboards, motion systems and flight simulation equipment.

PlayStation compatibility has been one of the most notable gaps in that ecosystem. An officially licensed MOZA PS5 wheel base could give console racers access to more of this hardware without moving to a gaming PC.

The biggest unanswered question is how much of the existing MOZA ecosystem will be supported. If current MOZA wheels, pedals, shifters and handbrakes can connect to the new PS5-compatible base, it could create a considerable selection of upgrade options for PlayStation users. We will need to wait for the complete announcement before that can be confirmed.

An Important Note About Fanatec PlayStation Compatibility

Within the Fanatec ecosystem, PlayStation compatibility is provided by the wheel base.

Attaching a PlayStation-branded or Gran Turismo steering wheel to a standard CSL DD or ClubSport DD does not make that wheel base compatible with PS5. You need a PlayStation-licensed base such as the Gran Turismo DD Pro or ClubSport DD+.

The steering wheel can then be selected according to your preferred racing discipline, provided it is compatible with the Fanatec wheel base and quick-release system.

Should You Wait for the MOZA PS5 Wheel?

If you already own MOZA hardware and want to race on PlayStation 5, it may be worth waiting until MOZA confirms whether existing wheels, pedals and accessories will work with its new PS5 wheel base.

If you want a proven PlayStation direct-drive setup now, Fanatec already offers established options at 5Nm, 8Nm and 18Nm, along with a large range of compatible steering wheels and accessories.

Before comparing MOZA and Fanatec directly, we still need MOZA to confirm the wheel base torque, included hardware, ecosystem compatibility, supported games, UK price, release date and pre-order availability.
