Simucube 2 sets the standard with industrial-grade durability that lasts a lifetime. The new generation — Simucube 3 — takes that foundation even further. Every part is selected for strength and durability, designed to run reliably for decades. It’s still hardware you buy once — only now, it’s built to outlast even your expectations.
Simucube 2 was known for its smooth, seamless force feedback. Simucube 3 delivers that same clarity, but with even more realism. Even the smallest details are reproduced with exacting precision, while keeping the natural feel that made it the benchmark. Every session feels more connected, more consistent, and more real.
The original Simucube 2 brought professional-grade motor technology to sim racing. Simucube 3 builds on that with faster response, greater accuracy, and higher efficiency. It reacts instantly, making driving pure intuition. Professional-grade performance has just been pushed to a new level.
Designed in Finland, Simucube 2 reflected a culture of uncompromising engineering. Simucube 3 stays true to that philosophy, but raises the bar in refinement and attention to detail. Every aspect of the design has been reconsidered for long-term reliability and consistency. Finnish precision, now taken even further.
With Simucube 3, Simucube has discovered three major areas how to improve feeling. The benchmark feel.
For this new generation of wheelbases, Simucube has completely re-engineered the control algorithm, each wheelbase is uniquely controlled.
This method allows us to tune the motor to its maximum precision and keep it silent. This means consistent feeling across the entire lineup.
Since we are delivering feedback to the physical world, software alone isn’t enough. The wheelbase must be able to produce all the details so that the driver can trust their instincts and reflexes. The instrument cannot be the limiting factor.
For the new generation of wheelbases, Simucube is introducing telemetry-based effects. This is additional info about the environment. Planned effects include things like road texture, ABS, and RPM
For all three models, there can be found new motors that produce industry leading feedback for the user. Traditionally, Simucube wheelbases are using a type of electric motor where rotors permanent magnets are placed on the outer ring of the rotor.
With LightBridge system, the Simucube Link supported wheels get the data and power delivered through the Quick Release connection.
Simucube LightBridge uses a contactless, wear-free inductive power and optical data link inside the quick release, it eliminates the need for slip rings entirely—The result is a robust, low-latency connection engineered for sim racing devices in high-torque, high-EMI environments.
Simucube is focused on improving the user’s experience. With Simucube 3 wheelbases, Simucube is also bringing Control box to the market. This is a device that replaces the original e-stop button box while bringing new features.
For example, when you are racing in a long endurance race, and you start to feel your muscles getting tired, with the control box you can easily adjust the maximum torque without leaving the sim.
With Control box the user can adjust the settings on your system by using the scroll wheel without leaving the sim. An overlay is displayed on the computer screen.
Control box also makes it easier to set up your system as with the scroll wheel you rapidly adjust many other settings also, for example damping and friction. An overlay is displayed on the computer screen so it’s easy to see which setting you are adjusting.
This means ease of use. Since the control box is part of the Simucube link system it will wake up your pedals and other Simucube link devices with the push of a button.
The new control box is delivered with every model.
• SC Link Hub needs to be purchased separately. SC3 works only with SC Link Hub. If customers already have SC Link Hub, through buying e.g. ActivePedal or Simucube Wireless Wheel, then they do not need another/second one.
• Ethernet switch is needed when customer wants to use more than one SC Link Hub device such SC3 and ActivePedals.
