The VPG 50 Spacer was not designed by guesswork. We used FEA to iteratively refine geometry for peak structural performance under the kinds of torque, bending and shear loads produced by modern DD wheelbases and to optimise material distribution for maximum stiffness to weight. The result is a compact component that resists deformation while keeping a feather‑light mass.

Compatibility & installation

The Spacer is built to be simple to fit and widely compatible: Back mount — 50.8 mm hole pattern to bolt directly to the rear of any compatible wheel. Face mount — 50.8 mm M5 threaded hole pattern to accept wheels, quick releases, and adapters. Carbon‑fibre adapter — Supplied with a 6 mm carbon fibre plate; use this with 70 mm PCD quick releases for a secure, lightweight interface.Installation is intentionally straightforward

The Spacer’s chamfers and countersinks make alignment and bolt insertion fast, even when working in tight cockpit spaces. For ease of installation, the face and back mounting patterns are rotated relative to each other. This ensures easy access to the fixings, even when the wheel and quick release are installed, allowing for quick assembly and maintenance in tight spaces.
